settingsCritics. Their opinions don't count. The only opinion that truly counts is your own. That doesn't mean that we should ignore good advice or proven wisdom. We will always have that need for other people and their input.
The key factor is being able to determine who fits into that quality selection of trusted advisors. Should someone slip through, someone who breathes a subtle negativity, you'll begin to suffer from the ill effects.
We don't knowingly assign critics to such important positions of personal influence. And they don't always announce their methods of criticism to you beforehand. That's why it's subtle.
Left unchecked, you may one day find yourself lacking any number of virtues as a result of letting a critic direct your course.
